Goalkeeper Scott Davies, defender Alan Goodall and midfielder Junior Brown have all signed contract extensions with League Two side Fleetwood Town.

The trio helped the Cod Army win promotion from non-league last season and have started regularly during their first year in the Football League.

Davies, 26, has signed a three-year deal, while 23-year-old Brown will stay for another two years.

Goodall, 32, has agreed a fresh one-year-deal at Highbury.

Davies, who has played in all but one of Fleetwood's League Two fixtures this season, said: "I'm ecstatic to finally sign a new deal.

"Everybody knows just how I feel about the club and I felt a sense of loyalty to the club as well. I can now look forward to the next three years and more success with Fleetwood Town," he told the

And manager Graham Alexander is predicting a bright future for his first-choice goalkeeper, adding: "We've got the second-highest number of clean sheets in League Two [only leaders Gillingham have kept more].

"He's a fantastic character and goalkeeper, and I believe he's the best at this level. He definitely can progress in his career, with his age and the fantastic work ethic that he's got."

Davies, Brown and Goodall join Town's longest serving player Nathan Pond in extending their stays with the Lancashire club. Centre-back Pond signed a two-year contract last month.
