A late penalty gives ten-man Glentoran a 1-1 draw with Linfield at the Oval.

An 86th-minute Jay Magee penalty earned 10-man Glentoran a point against Belfast rivals Linfield at the Oval.

Philip Lowry bundled the ball over the line after a Billy Joe Burns cross had been headed down by Michael Carvill just before half-time.

Mark Clarke was sent-off by referee Mark Courtney after appearing to stamp on Mark McAllister after 75 minutes.

Magee scored the equaliser from the spot after substitute Martin Murray had been brought down by William Murphy.

After Lowry's opener, Andy Waterworth drilled a shot just wide at the start of the second half.

A Stephen Carson cross aimed at Waterworth was clawed away by Ross Glendinning, but Murray's leveller secured a draw.

Brian McCaul almost snatched all three points for the Blues but his late free-kick flew wide of the post.

Linfield remain third but are now two points behind Crusaders, who have two games in hand following the postponement of their match against Cliftonville.

Glentoran stay in sixth position.
