Premiership pacesetters Cliftonville have to settle for a 1-1 draw away to Glentoran.

A fine strike by Liam Boyce earned Premiership leaders Cliftonville a valuable point away to Glentoran.

Cliftonville had trailed to Jimmy Callacher's direct free-kick just before half-time which beat keeper Conor Devlin.

Boyce got the equaliser with a dipping shot while Cliftonville had Marc Smyth sent-off for a second yellow card.

Earlier referee Arnold Hunter was taken off on a stretcher after a clash of heads with Reds player George McMullan.

Fourth official Ian McNabb took over while ref Hunter went to hospital for a precautionary examination.

Late on Boyce hit the bar with a header from a corner while Smyth was dismissed after bringing down Glens striker Andrew Waterworth.

The result means Cliftonville's lead at the top of the table has been cut by one point.

Tommy Breslin's pacesetters are now three points ahead of second-placed Balllinamallard United.

Glentoran slip one place to seventh, and are now below cross-city rivals Linfield on goal difference.
