Blackpool staged a superb late fightback to beat Leeds and continue their winning start to the season.

The visitors took the lead when Tom Lees met a whipped corner at the back post to head home.

But the Seasiders responded well and Isaiah Osbourne hit the post before Stephen Crainey crossed for Nouha Dicko to equalise from close range.

Tom Ince set up Matt Phillips to score the winner and Ince also fired against the bar for Blackpool before the end.

Phillips started the game on the bench after handing in a transfer request but the Southampton target marked his return to the side in style.

His side trailed to Lees' early header after seeing Tiago Gomes denied by Paddy Kenny and also seeing two penalty appeals turned down.

The impressive Ince went down in the box under a challenge from Luke Varney and, soon afterwards, Lees appeared to handle inside the area but referee Dean Whitestone waved away Blackpool's appeals.

Ince, who scored twice in Saturday's opening-day win over Millwall, also wasted a good chance to equalise when he fired over from a Gary Taylor-Fletcher cross.

With 26 minutes left, Blackpool boss Ian Holloway brought on Dicko and Phillips from the bench and got his reward when both substitutes found the net.

Dicko tapped in from a yard out after good work from Crainey down the left, and Phillips repeated the trick from similar range when Ince found space on the same flank.
