After Barry Roche failed to make a proper connection with his attempted punch clear, Purse headed in for 2-2.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM:
Plymouth Argyle manager Carl Fletcher told 91热爆 Radio Devon:
"I thought we had the better of it in the first half, but they probably did in the second half.
"We controlled the tempo in the first half but got sloppy later, all in all I'm pleased with a draw.
"We could see a little bit of pressure off the lads' shoulders this week that has been there in recent weeks.
"Even though it's the end of the season and you've got nothing to play for, you want to be professional and do the right thing at the right time."
Morecambe manager Jim Bentley told 91热爆 Radio Lancashire:
"From minute one, I thought we were poor and I thought it was very lacklustre. Goals change games and they got their noses in front.
"We said a few things at half time and asked for a response.
"Fair play to the lads, we got that response and went ahead with two good goals.
"You take a point and there's positives there. It was a game of two halves and probably a fair result on reflection."
