Everton Ladies forward Toni Duggan says her side still have the ambition to challenge the top sides in the Women's Super League this season.
The Blues are fourth in the WSL going into Wednesday's Merseyside derby with Liverpool at Marine.
"At a club like Everton, we've always set our standards high," Duggan told .
"We want to be there or thereabouts at the top of the table and I don't think we can drop our standards this season."
, a result which Duggan says her team can take positives from.
"We took positives from that game because all round it was a good team performance and the girls really dug in," continued Duggan.
"It showed character as well because we were actually a goal behind towards the end. To dig the result out at the end was good, but unfortunately we only got one point."
Liverpool defender Sam Chappell hopes the derby match can help turn their season around, as they sit bottom of the table, looking for their first league win.
"The first game of the season against Everton was our best," said Chappell.
"We've been anticipating it for a while, so hopefully this game will be the game were we can get the win and and move on from there.
"I think we can go there and get a result. Last time we drew 3-3 with them and it was a good game for us."
