Your mice are back, Cannablog. Too much wind? Whatever do they mean, too much wind in the islands?
Arnish Lighthouse from Stornoway
As a regular visitor of the islands, and having anchored off all the Small Isles I feel that next year is perhaps the year to have a slightly longer visit and tour round the Small Isles. Can anyone help with B&B's on Canna? And what do you have these days by way of shop/eating place as I was 14 when I was last on Canna and don't remember much.

A fine day for the Grand Pier Opening. It was a pleasure to see the fabulous result of all the hard work by so many.

Hi, how is everyone doing on Canna. I'm fine, last month of study now. Maybe I come to check the new pier this winter.

Why are you re-digging your vegetable patch end of August so far north? You don't know where your water pipes are?!! If those pipes are before they reach your meter, you are in luck. Tap, tap, and don't tell the Water Authorities a cousin from across the ocean gave you the idea. Kidding, of course (I am a law abiding citizen, scout's honor, Mr. Edgar Hoover). Maybe you don't need to irrigate out in the western isles anyway ... Here in Nuevo Mexico, the aquifer keeps going down, yet people keep a'coming .... (and I can't blame them: it is rather nice out in the high desert).

What about the call from Canna? Have you chosen your "families"? Who are they? Will there be an update soon? More to the point how many babies will we be wetting the heads of? People the world over are just on the edge of their seats and dying to know if the Canna folks have got it right and picked out the future population? Come on Canna, time for blogging????? Your fans are just dying to know?

My late grandfather's family came from Canna. His name was John James Steele known as Ian. He used to take my dad, also Ian, to Canna every summer for the holidays. My last living relative on Canna died over a decade ago. Her name was Morag and I think she was in her 90's. I look forward to visiting Canna when I visit Scotland in 2009. Kind regards fiona clark
