Frank Marshall from Ohio

You've sorted out a mystery Calum. The cold must have addled the postie's brain. (I'll no mention the drink.) I got this snap delivered to the Lone Sheiling yesterday. It says, 'Hope I can be of some use' on the back. I thought Christmas had really come as they're braw manly shoulders, but now I realise that it must be part of your parcel from Ohio. Ah well, another disappointment.

Still I can console myself with the other package that arrived. I got the latest edition of the Murray Fankwear Collection inspired by the legendary fashions of yesteryear seen in the haydays of 'Effie Murray, Merchant' in South Dell. Here's the cover as a little teaser of the ensembles on offer.

Callanish Air would do well to kit their hostesses out in uniforms like this. So serviceable AND attractive.

Shocking! There's bare skin showing and that cheeky footwear is a red rag to any mans libido! I'm beginning to wonder if this fank might be a bit too racey for the Arran contingent. Suppose we should try these new fangled modern fasions but I'm not sure if we'll get the pinny over ours horns.

Sunny from Arran

Is Fank Marshall related to Spock? Clock those ears? Still I suppose his mother loves him?

Donald reckons that's Rachel Hunter modelling the pinny. I reckon it's Russel Hunter. Which of us is right. There's a fiver riding on it.

To Calum & Donald: Well done for spotting the Hunter connection - you've obviously got highly trained eyes for this sort of thing - but I'm afraid you're wrong about the detail on this occasion. This fine figure of a woman is buillt like the Mauritania - Swan Hunter's the name..

Ivan Eyeforem, recruitment executive from Murray's Models

Murray’s catalogue cover was indeed a bold variation from JDs and other more traditional mail order companies. Seemingly they’re aiming for a more sophisticated market of modern, independent-minded fank-going women like us. And flight attendants. Admittedly the cover shot is a bit risqué… more like something sent in plain brown paper from Agnes Anne Morrison’s ‘Lust in Lochs (Private Shop)’ near the recycling bank at Garyvard (see Arnish’s comments on the disgraceful goings on there). At first I was frankly shocked and a bit dubious about this year’s collection… and yet strangely intrigued…. There was something so alluring about those slippers that I braced myself to browse through the brochure. It was well worth it. Rest assured Sunny, the tantalising cover was advertising their seductive ‘Tarbert Trousseau’ oat couture collection – intended for those more intimate après- fank moments. Their equally beguiling daywear collection of dungarees, boilersuits and oilskins offers much more subtle and understated outfits. Frank Marshall has lovely ears Calum. And I see that he has the electric.

Is yon woman with the pinny wearing jewellery???

I Zonstorx from Zurich Insurance (Borve)

No that is not jewellery - that is a standard issue pair of handcuffs for a single Lewis cailleach available over 38 weeks from JD's. When these women sight their prey there's no escape for any bodach.

Pete Cutter from The Flotation Tank Cross Spa

Have you noticed how prominant the models' adans apple is? Is this a cross dressing fank?

Pete Burns from Spinning in the Big Bruvva House

'Whatever floats your boat', is the Fanks Mission Statement. The village of Cross is barely more than a mile from the Dell Fank site so if you want to get dressed there before travelling that's up to you and that technically would make you a Cross dresser. Oh by the way that's not a big Adam's Apple in the picture it's Maggie Mary wolfing a blueberry muffin down in one.
