The Rats' Tales is a dramatic and evocative series, following the lives of three female, brown rats and their struggle to survive and raise their families alongside their human companions.

Episode 3. Wednesday 14 September, 2005, 15.45-16.00
A terrible storm floods the underground sewer on Tyneside and the brown rat and her family are forced to literally, swim for their lives. Despite her efforts, the young female fails to save her family.
On Merseyside, a male rat - father to the family in the harbour wall, narrowly evades being seen by humans, when they come into the warehouse where he nests to unload the cargo from their truck. When they've gone, the rat escapes onto the quayside in search of food, but one of the local Sparrowhawks is also out hunting for food, and spies the rat .....
And, on the Suffolk farm, one of the litter from the nest under the oak tree, falls victim to the small black farm cat.
