Sha Sha acoustic session
Sha Sha, the Zimbabwean singer at the heart of South Africa’s booming Amapiano scene, treats us to special acoustic performances of three of her songs.
Sha Sha, the Zimbabwean singer at the heart of South Africa’s booming Amapiano scene, has one of the most beautiful and evocative voices in Africa right now. In this episode she treats us to a first – three songs performed acoustically, with just a guitar accompaniment. The songs in question are: Tender Love, a song she made with Kabza da Small and DJ Maphorisa which put her on the map; Ungowami, her most recent hit; and Trying, a brand new release which is an Amapiano remake of Sade’s monster hit from the 1990s, No Ordinary Love.
Sha Sha also tells DJ Edu about the album she dropped on 23rd September, and why she called it I’m Alive.
