Natalya Romaniw was born in Morriston, Swansea, and is currently a student at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London where she studies with John Llewelyn Evans and joins the Guildhall's Opera Course in September.
She is supported by the Joyce Newton Bequest, the Dorothy Willner and Harry Rolfe Scholarships and the City of London Corporation.
Natalya's recent concert appearances have included Messiah in Fishguard, a recital of Rakhmaninov songs at LSO St Luke's and the Barbican, and a recital at the Swansea Festival.
She regularly appears as guest soloist with Welsh male voice choirs, including the Morriston Orpheus, Pontarddulais and the Dunvant, and at the Millennium Stadium singing the anthem for Wales' European football fixtures.
Operatic engagements have included Anne Truelove (The Rake's Progress) at Wales Millennium Centre and with British Youth Opera in La rondine. She received first prize at the London Welsh Young Welsh Singer of the Year competition in 2007 and first prize in the 2008 Welsh Singers Competition.
Future engagements include Carmina Burana with the 91热爆 National Orchestra of Wales, covers of the First Nymph in Rusalka and Anne Truelove for the Glyndebourne Festival, and New Year's concerts with the Manchester Camerata.
Natalya enjoys the theatre, reading, walking and going to the gym.
