Piers Adams is one of the greatest recorder players of our age, recognised for his "astonishing, all-out virtuosity" (New York Times), his breadth of repertoire and compelling style.
His concert tours have taken him to all corners of the globe, in particular with his iconic baroque-crossover quartet Red Priest, who have enjoyed over 50 tours in North America as well as visits to Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, Russia, the Far and Middle East and all European countries - as well as concertos with international symphony and chamber orchestras, recitals, festival gigs with the Dodo Street Band and numerous outings on TV and radio worldwide.
Piers has recorded 15 CDs, the latest two of which have enjoyed particular commercial success - The Baroque Bohemians (with Red Priest) reaching no.1 in the UK classical charts, and Bach Side of the Moon (his first ‘ambient’ album, with synth artist Larry Lush) hitting no.5 in the international New Age Music charts.
