Vanessa is a Television Broadcaster, Presenter and TV Personality. She started her career in journalism as a columnist writing for She Magazine, and before moving into TV as an Anti-Agony Aunt on .

Moving on from that, she spent a few years on The Big Breakfast which included her interviewing celebs whilst laying on a bed, as well as hosting consumer affairs programme Value for Money. She has also fronted numerous versions of her own chat shows including Vanessa, Vanessa’s Real Lives and in 1999 and again in 2011. Other TV appearances include being a contestant on the first Celebrity in 2001, returning to the house again in 2010 for Ultimate Big Brother. She also appeared on Celebrity Fit Club, three separate episodes of and had a guest role in hit comedy .

Vanessa really found her niche however, when she moved into radio. Since 2002 she has hosted a radio phone-in show on , winning Speech Radio Personality of the Year at the Sony Radio Academy Awards in 2009. In 2011 she also took over the and still hosts her two radio shows every morning.

Vanessa is engaged to former Phats and Small singer Ben Ofoedu whom she met in 2006. As a couple, they have taken part in many TV programmes, the most memorable being Wife Swap, where Vanessa moved in with magician Paul Daniels while Debbie McGee moved in with Ofoedu. She has two grown up daughters.

Vanessa now has a regular column in every Tuesday, and 2012 saw Vanessa turn 50, which she has embraced, however she isn’t ready to embrace the world of computers just yet as one of her 2013 resolutions is to keep herself completely ‘computerless’. She isn’t on email, Twitter or Facebook.
