Steve was quick to make his mark on the team and it soon became clear that once he had the bit between his teeth he would not let go.
With a propensity to bend the rules, Steve’s Glaswegian background meant that initially he wasn't up to speed on the landscape of London crime, past and present, but that has provided him with an objectivity as he helps to solve the cold cases.
Often hot-headed, Steve has no time for wise-crackers or timewasters and makes full use of his thick Glaswegian accent to intimidate his suspects. Though a cracking detective, this series will see him still struggling to maintain a relationship with his teenage son and spiral into serious financial trouble as he tries to keep up a lifestyle he can no longer afford.
