Kaye Bawden
Played by Michele Austin
Kaye is a forty-something social worker and single mother. A incident at work has resulted in her transfer from Hackney to Pagford. Kaye was fully exonerated, but it still haunts her. Although this has meant her beautiful daughter Gaia has had to leave her life in London behind, the student understands the weight of guilt on her mum’s shoulders. A strong mother and daughter unit. Kaye does a good job of looking purposeful and confident, and they’re trying their hardest to make a new life for themselves in the South West, where Kaye has been assigned as the social worker for family.
