Found throughout much of North America, the black bear can in fact be black, brown, cinnamon, white or even blue-ish grey. Most of a black bear’s diet is vegetarian, feeding on grasses, mast and fruits but they will eat animal matter when the opportunity arises - predominantly carrion.

Black bears are full of curiosity and have complex family relationships which result from the slow maturation of cubs. During this time, mothers impart vital hunting and navigational skills to their offspring.
