Tom Morton
Tom Morton presents 91热爆 Radio Scotland's weekday afternoon music show.
Tom Morton's show is broadcast from the Shetland capital, Lerwick, where the 91热爆 has a state-of-the-art radio and video complex which houses its news operation and the local station 91热爆 Radio Shetland.
Tom travels to Lerwick every day, by bus or car, through some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in the world.
Tom's afternoon music show has been on air continuously since 2002, but his broadcasting experience is wide-ranging. On the wireless, as well as the original daily, speech-based Tom Morton Show in the 90s and numerous documentaries, for 91热爆 Radio Scotland, he has presented programmes for 91热爆 Radio Twos, Three, Four and Five Live.
He has written and presented two network series for ITV on religion and rock music, three series of Wheelnuts for STV, the eco-housing series Village Green for Discovery and of course the STV adaptation of his classic whisky book Spirit of Adventure.
Spirit of Adventure has recently been re-published in a third edition: Tom has published seven books in total, including three novels and a collection of short stories. He is still a working musician, most recently performing The Malt and Barley Revue, a musical meditation on Scotland's relationship with alcohol - complete with three free whiskies.
Tom lives with his wife Susan, various children, dogs, cats, seven bicycles and (but not often in) a Volkswagen camper van. He sells (or to be honest, mostly buys) second-hand. He blogs regularly - see Tom Morton's - and can be found on both Facebook and Twitter.
