‘Nigerians make vicious comments about people’s weight’
Lotanna Igwe-Odunze is an illustrator and blogger who suffered with Bulimia growing up in Nigeria. She tells Emily Thomas what that was like in the context of the country's culture around eating, food and body image and the role that childhood sexual abuse plays for many who suffer with the disease. She explains why black people with eating disorders around the world have little to no visibility and the important role that blogs and social media posts are playing in changing that.
