Will Brexit affect East Africa's trade deals with EU?

The East African Community has often been heralded as an example of African integration that works. But there are some cracks in the cosy alliance between Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan. These relate to an economic partnership agreement with the European Union - a trade deal that would allow free access to each others' markets.

Kenya and Rwanda have signed and are urging the others to get on with it. But the others are not so sure, asking: "Why sign when there are still EU sanctions against Burundi?" And: "What about the uncertainty Brexit brings?"

The 91热爆's Catherine Byaruhanga discussed all of these issues with Uganda's Minister of Trade, Amelia Anne Kyambadde.
