Rising optimism for Africa's mining industry
There have been some glimmers of hope for Africa's mining industry recently as some commodity prices are looking a lot better.
One of the world's most diversified miners operating on the continent is India-based Vedanta Resources, extracing copper, zinc, aluminium, lead and iron ore. The firm felt the full brunt of the recent slump in commodities but now seems to be benefiting from the infrastructure-building plans of various governments.
The 91热爆's Matthew Davies sat down with Vedanta's chairman, Anil Agarwal, to find out more for Africa Business Report.
