The Normandy Tank Museum is auctioning off its entire collection of tanks, some of which were used on D-Day.

The museum says the decision to sell is down to falling visitor numbers. It is sad news for the museum, but good news for tank collectors.

5 Live spoke to one such collector, Kevin Wheatcroft, who owns his own museum. Kevin told us that he has collected over 80 tanks so far.

He said the 鈥渆nemy tanks鈥� tend to fetch the most money, some even costing 鈥渘orth of 拢6million鈥�.
