Academics hope to discover age of bones
Academics from Sheffield University are hoping to discover when human bones stored in a crypt in Rothwell date from.
Dr Lizzie Craig-Atkins has been given permission by the Church of England to take fragments of the bones and have them carbon-dated.
The crypt, under the village's parish church, is believed to have been built in the 13th Century, but it is not know when the current stock of bones were put in there.
