MP invites Lindsay Lohan to turn on Kettering's Christmas lights
Kettering MP Philip Hollobone has invited Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan to turn on its Christmas lights, after she snubbed the town on Twitter on EU referendum results night.
Lohan, who supported the Remain campaign, criticised the town for voting Leave.
Her tweet included the words: "#REMAIN Sorry, but #KETTERING where are you".
Speaking in the Commons, Mr Hollobone, Conservative, said: "Apart from the fact it might be the most average town in the country, everyone knows where Kettering is."
