Short home care visits 'upsets patients'
Unacceptably short 15-minute home care visits to elderly and disabled people are still plaguing the care system in England, a report by Unison suggests.
"The [elderly] people themselves usually say 'I feel like I鈥檝e been rushed this morning' and it gets them upset," carer Denise told the Today programme.
"When you go to somebody with dementia or Alzheimer鈥檚 it takes you a long time to introduce yourself because they don鈥檛 know who you are," she said. "It's confusing for them."
