Cromer fireworks donations raise 拢12,000
Thousands of people joined in the New Year's Day firework celebrations off Cromer Pier, helping to raise more than 拢12,000 through bucket donations.
The annual display, a highlight in the seaside town's calendar, lasted for nearly 20 minutes and drew some 10,000 people to the resort, organisers said.
Donations raised 拢12,366, which will go towards funding next year's fireworks, organised by Cromer Town Council, and some 拢7,500 in grants for local charities.
