EU border force discussion
With the number of migrants and refugees entering Europe expected to pass one million by the end of the year, European politicians have been debating how to strengthen its external borders.
This week the European Commission outlined an ambitious plan for a new EU border force, which would be deployed when high numbers of migrants attempt to cross into the EU.
Jo Coburn visited Strasbourg to assess whether the commission's plan has any chance of being implemented.
