‘I won’t be going swimming again’
The British tourist rescued from a remote area of northern Australia after he wrote an SOS in the sand has said he won’t be going swimming again.
Geoff Keys, 63, was attempting to find the Eliot Falls in Queensland’s Jardine National Park when he lost his way in July.
Helicopter rescuers who saw his giant message in the sand said it had probably saved his life.
“I’m travelling round the world on my motorcycle and I’ve been in some tough positions but this is the one occasion where I wasn’t with my bike,” Mr Keys told Today.
“I won’t be going swimming again!”
