'The forme of cury' - the first English cook book?
'Rycce of Flysh' - a medieval form of risotto - features alongside deer broth, whale, seal, heron and gravy dishes in one of the oldest cook books in modern English.
Polly Russell, a food historian and curator at the British Library, pours over the medieval food manuscript - The Forme of Cury. The manuscript contains 196 recipes and was compiled towards the end of the fourteenth century.
