GP Services, Milk and Girl Racer

Start your day with the latest news and updates, with Jim and Jo at breakfast.

Those that manage most of your doctors services here in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland are changing. The three local clinical commissioning groups - or C-C-G's - are taking on greater 'delegated' responsibilities for GP's from NHS England. Dairy farmers in Leicestershire and Rutland are being told they'll be allowed to churn out as much milk as they like from today as EU restrictions are lifted. Introduced 30 years ago, the limits on milk quotas were a way of limiting milk production across European states. Jessica King from Kibworth got behind the wheel of a kart aged 12, and she's already featured on TV this weekend she starts her adult racing career at Silverstone.
