Estonian defence minister: Russia not ‘suicidal’ enough to invade
Estonia's Defence Minister, Sven Mikser, said his country and its allies would deter any aggression from Moscow. His comments came after the British Defence Secretary, Michael Fallon, said Russian President Vladimir Putin posed a "real and present danger" to the Baltic states.
He added that Mr Putin is "not afraid" of using military action, but said Estonia has been doing its homework since they gained independence.
Mr Mikser said NATO must "maintain sanctions" on Russia and "support Ukraine" but believes Putin will "play the waiting game".
However, he does not think Russia would attack a NATO ally as they are “not suicidal”.
