A husband described the moment he heard his late wife鈥檚 voicemail message after it was accidentally deleted from his phone as 鈥渕arvellous鈥�.

Stan Beaton, from Mirfield had kept the voicemail since his wife Ruby died in 2003 but the message was deleted after a phone upgrade from Virgin Media.

Stan said he listened to the voicemail when he felt 鈥渄own in the dumps鈥� and was immediately 鈥渃heered up鈥�.

He added 鈥淩uby鈥檚 voice was more important than anything else. It really did devastate me when it went missing.鈥�

The telecoms company managed to recover the message and are giving copies of it to Stan.
