Reducing pressure on GP surgeries

There are 3.5 million GP consultations in Gloucestershire every year - and about a fifth of them could be replaced with a trip to the pharmacy instead.

This morning we're talking about the number of us going to the GPs when we could just be going to the Pharmacist instead.

A trial called the "minor ailments scheme" is currently happening in Gloucester - and will also be rolled out to Tewkesbury soon too - which gives pharmacists more power.
