A University of Northampton study proves that ease of access to X-rays leads to early diagnosis of lung cancer. It says GP's are not following NICE guidelines.
A University of Northampton study says there is a direct link between ease of access to X- rays and the early diagnosis of lung cancer, but it also says that GP’s often don’t follow NICE guidelines.
Reporter Elinor Cross meets David Beattie from Corby who has been treated for lung cancer. Stuart talks to Professor Jackie Campbell from the University of Northampton and to Paula Chadwick, the Chief Executive of the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.
