Citizens Advice Bureaux in Northamptonshire say they're expecting record numbers of people needing debt advice in the New Year after borrowing too much at Christmas.

Citizens Advice Bureaux in Northamptonshire say they're expecting record numbers of people from the county will need debt advice in the New Year after borrowing too much at Christmas.

They say they're preparing for a wave of people in February, once their first bills of the New Year come in.

Reporter Elinor Cross talks to Sam Akaki, a case worker at Northampton's Citizens Advice Bureau, and to a young Northampton couple who pawned goods to raise cash. Stuart talks to Nerys Lewis from the consumer website Confused.com, to Michael Oakley who runs the CREDIT UNION in Northampton, and to Martin Lord, the Chief Executive Officer of the District Citizens Advice Bureaux.
