Sixfields Redevelopment Set To Go Ahead
Northampton Borough Council and Northampton Town Football Club have agreed a deal to redevelp the Sixfields stadium, increasing capacity and building a hotel.
Sixfields Stadium in Northampton will finally be redeveloped.
In an agreement between Northampton Borough Council and Northampton Town Football Club, the capacity of the stadium will increase to around 10,000 and a hotel, a conference centre, a housing scheme and a small scale, local retail development will be built on the site.
Reporter Carrol Weston gauges reaction from people living at Upton, near the stadium, while Stuart talks to David Mackintosh, the leader of Northampton Borough Council, and to the Chairman of Northampton Town Football Club David Cardoza.
