Report by the Centre for Social Justice says lone parent families are increasing at a rate of more than 20,000 a year and will total more than two million by 2015.

One million children in Britain are growing up with no contact with their father, according to a report which reveals that lone parent families are increasing at a rate of more than 20,000 a year and will total more than two million by 2015.

The report from The Centre for Social Justice says family break-up devastates children, parents and communities.

Reporter Elinor Cross meets Carolita from Northampton, a single mum to three boys, while Stuart talks to David Woodward, who runs Resolve relationship counselling in Kettering, and to Jennie Cuttriss from Kettering, the county Chair of Families Need Fathers.
