Mary Queen of Scots in England

On arrival in England, Mary wrote to Elizabeth to help her return to Scotland and re-establish herself as queen. Elizabeth decided that Mary was too dangerous to set free, so she stalled for time, only agreeing to meet Mary once she had been cleared of allegations about her involvement in Darnley's murder.
