Helping the homeless
Debbie Santiago, founder of the Salt and Sea Mission, describes her work to help the homeless. Debbie also discusses the dramatic events in her own life, which saw her move from drug addict, alcoholic and homeless, to someone who believed she was called by God to help the homeless. Her reward is seeing the change that can take place in people, and hoping God is pleased with her efforts. Her inspirational story shows Jesus' words 'Whoever does not carry the cross and follow me cannot be my disciple' (Luke 14.27) put into practice.
