Life as a maid in apartheid, South Africa
As a black maid, Christine Hadebe was not allowed to use the same plates as the family she worked for. The comparisons with the treatment of the family's dog are apparent and extremely shocking. So too are the scenes and descriptions of how workers were treated.
First broadcast in 'People's Century' on 20 October 1996.
