Dispersal policy in London, 1970
A policy of 'busing' is introduced in the early 1970s among primary school children in Southhall, London, as the Asian community reaches 30-40% of the local population. A discussion of this policy of 'dispersal' - spreading immigrant children around all the schools in the Borough of Ealing - follows.
