2012 Paralympic Games Start Today

The London 2012 Paralympic Games start today with more than 4200 athletes from 147 countries will competing in 21 sports during the games, which will run from now until September 9.

The opening ceremony of the London 2012 Paralympic Games takes place tonight. Stuart talks about the Games and the impact they could have on the way people with disabilities are viewed and treated by society to Paralympic volunteer Sandy Letman, to retired Paralympic Gold medallist David Holding, to Sarah Fitzgerald from the Motor Neurone Disease Association, based in Northampton, and to Richard Hawkes the Chief Executive of SCOPE.

* Northamptonshire County Councillors receive the lowest allowance of any county authority in the country.

* 92-year-old Arthur Tester, known as the "Can Man". wins the Spirit of Corby Award.

* Northampton Saints has the best finances of any Premiership rugby club.
