Back to Back – Peak Reflections
Three first time designers, Charlie Williams, Rosie Wallace and Gareth Wilson explain why the Peak District is the inspiration for their back to back garden. They wanted to share the character and beauty of one of the most visited National Parks in the country and the lasting marks that visitors have left on the landscape. From Cotton Mills to railway lines.
Back to Back gardens are unique to this show. Measuring just 6 metres by 4 metres the space is based on the small yards of terraced houses found in the industrial North. These compact square patches really challenge designers to think about how to maximise space.
