Sharon's Extension

Plasterer Jamie Denyer explains that he has started an extraordinary project in Swansea. Each month, he and a group of volunteer tradesmen perform a room makeover for a family in need.

With no free funds, Jamie originally, decided to give up his own time and skills for one day a month. But word has spread and now Jamie has been joined by a team of Swansea craftspeople- painters, electricians, carpenters and other plasterers willing to give up their time to help a family in need of some tlc on their homes.

In this particular programme we鈥檒l see the home of Sharon Morris and her daughter Katie from Scurlage, the Gower being renovated. Sharon and her husband separated almost three years ago. Shortly before the separation, her husband was in the process of building an extension to the house. Unfortunately, the extension was never finished. Some time later, Sharon re-mortgaged the house so that she could finish the extension, but she quickly realised that she did not borrow enough money. Subsequently, the extension which consists of a bedroom, en suite and attic space had been left as a concrete shell. However this is all about change now that Jamie and his team are on site!
