Who's up for Ten To The Top?

Bryan Ferry chooses two more songs in this week's Tracks Of My Years. Plus Ten To The Top and more gems from Vernon鈥檚 vault.

Bryan Ferry chooses the tunes that made him in this week's Tracks Of My Years.

Bryan Ferry dominated the charts in the 1970s and 80s, both as the frontman of his band Roxy Music and as a solo singer. Overall, he鈥檚 sold more than 30 million albums and topped the charts with his solo albums 鈥楤oys and Girls鈥 and 鈥楽treet Life鈥.

As well as being a prolific songwriter, Bryan has recorded many cover versions, including standards from the Great American Songbook. He enjoyed a Grammy nomination in 2001 for his album 鈥淎s Time Goes By鈥 and has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.

His voice and style are legendary: Bryan was once described as 'an art object' who 'should hang in the Tate' by writer Peter York. Kate Bush has said he "was the most exciting singer that she鈥檇 heard" and that for her, he "covered the whole emotional spectrum."

Bryan has a new album out which celebrates his immense body of work called 鈥楻etrospective: Selected Recordings 1973-2023鈥. It鈥檚 an 81 track album marking 50 Years of his music. Excitingly, he also has a new song called 鈥楽tar鈥, which is his first original song in over a decade.
