Dougie is on the slopes of Ben Lawers in Perthshire, Rosie gets an ringside seat at of the autumn lamb sales, and Shahbaz goes searching for the elusive capercaillie.

In this episode, Dougie is at the Ben Lawers National Nature Reserve in Perthshire, where he finds out about the pioneering work the National Trust for Scotland have carried out to fence off a degraded area of hillside. Thirty years on, the transformation is clear as trees, grasses and flowering plants have sprung into place.

Further up the mountain, Dougie goes in search of some rare alpine plants that are now retreating due to climate change. Meanwhile, Anne is on the Angus coast to mark the Scottish Geology Festival. She takes a look at the incredible sandstone conglomerate cliffs formed by a giant Mississippi-sized river that once flowed over vast parts of the land over 370 million years ago.

Further inland, Shahbaz is on the Balmoral Estate, where she hopes to catch sight of the elusive capercaillie, while Rosie is at Dingwall Mart to learn about the work of an auctioneer during their busiest
time of year - the autumn lamb sales.
