One year after an economic crisis sparked massive street protests which toppled a government, calm seems to have returned to Sri Lanka. The long queues are gone, and shortages in food and medicine have eased. As the government makes tough choices to get the economy back on track, for many Sri Lankans, the recovery in their livelihoods is still a long way off.
