This week, acclaimed guitarist and singer Jon Wilks performs songs from his new album Before I Knew What Had Begun I Had Already Lost.

Jon, a writer and folk musician originally from Birmingham, released his debut album Songs from the Attic in 2017, and has become known for his take on traditional songs from the Midlands. His new album, which features Martin Simpson, Jackie Oates and Lukas Drinkwater, is a collection of lesser-known traditional songs and his own compositions.

Plus, the usual blend of brand new releases, classic tracks and news from the folk world.
