May Day is approaching, along with all its associated traditions to welcome the summer.

An exhibition of British folk costumes is running at Compton Verney Art Gallery in Warwickshire, so, inspired by that and a recent performance by morris dancers at the Brit Awards, Mark celebrates the strange and wonderful world of folk costumes and customs.

Musician and singer John Kirkpatrick - long involved with morris dancing - speaks to Mark from Shropshire.

Plus, the usual mix of exciting new releases, classic tracks and news from the folk world.
