03/08/22 Lambeth Conference: Reconciliation
Rev Dr Isabelle Hamley leads a service from the 2022 Lambeth Conference, with a reflection by Bishop Michael Curry.
Fostering reconciliation at every level is something Christians are called to do. In Colossians, Paul tells us that in Christ, God reconciled the world to himself. We are called to follow in the footsteps of Christ, and be people of reconciliation. It is easy sometimes to focus on all the places, and on all the way in which reconciliation seems far off. At the Lambeth Conference yesterday, bishops explored reconciliation and the ways in which churches and the people of God work for reconciliation, in ways often small and unseen or unacknowledged, yet which make an immense difference – and tell a story of justice, peace and hope.
This morning's service is led by Rev Dr Isabelle Hamley comes from the Lambeth Conference. The reflection is given by the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, Michael Curry.
