This week Cerys welcomes Malika Booker to The Poet Tree to discuss their writing as well as their inspirations and influences. Malika is a writer, poet, theatre maker, multi-disciplinary artist and educator who has been acknowledged by previous Poet Tree guests Raymond Antrobus and Roger Robinson. In 2001 Malika co-founded her Poetry Kitchen to nourish a community of writers dedicated to developing their craft, she was the first Poet-in-residence at Royal Shakespeare Company and her debut collection Pepper Seed was published in 2013 explored her passion for Caribbean culture.
